Pelumi's Memoirs - 27

Like two peas in a Pod………… Ivan was seated at Gate C waiting for boarding to commence. His flight was in the next 50 minutes.  Eyes fixed on his iPad reading ‘The Partner’ by John Grisham, he removed a pack of tic-tac from his jeans pocket and threw some in his mouth. "Announcing the boarding of Espana Airways flight 4007 to Spain. We welcome passengers needing assistance and those traveling with children. We also invite our Club One travelers to start boarding. Thank you for your patience." Ivan slipped his phone into his backpack and walked briskly, joining the Club Two line. While Club One represented first class on the airline, Club Two represented business class. There wasn’t much of a difference in the quality of service offered in both classes on the airline and so he had chosen to fly business class in order to cut unnecessary costs. Pelumi's Memoirs - 26

Sometimes, I want to be Superman Some days, I am Other days, I realize That the best among men The Legends Are still at best, men Prone to errors Prone to poor judgment **** The week passed by in a blur. Pelumi was glad it was Thursday. One more day and she could relax on the weekend. She loved her job but she also liked being able to relax and spend time away from everything and everyone. One of her greatest cheerleaders was Kemi, her daughter. Alhaja Eniola was cruel. She called herself Evil. A woman who believed she was a god, she dealt cruelly with others. A fine businesswoman, she had a fleet of businesses which she controlled. She had many admirers and foes who would stop at nothing to bring her down. Some of the scenes had  gory and bloody details that I found to be too graphic. This was not a usual Nigerian story movie line. I mean, it was intriguing. It was also very unpredictable. Many of the scenes left me surprised though the movie was a three hour long one. I hear there's going to be a second part to the movie and I wonder whether that's necessary. Why can't Nigerians shoot a great movie and just let it go without a sequel? What do you think about the m
