Kemi Adetiba's King of Boys

Let's talk Kemi Adetiba. My respect for her grew after watching The Wedding Party 1 which was her first feature film and the King Women series which featured extraordinary women like Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, Tara Fela-Durotoye, TY Bello, Olajumoke Adenowo and co.  The Wedding Party was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. It was the first movie to surpass the $1.3 million mark in the Nigerian box office and is currently the highest grossing film in Nigeria. Kemi began her education at Corona School, Lagos. Her father, Dele Adetiba is a renowned advertising and media veteran. Kemi Adetiba's media journey began at a young age where she headlined two national television commercials for the iconic detergent brand, OMO. Though Kemi is a Law School graduate, she has excelled in entertainment in Nigeria and sub-saharan Africa. She made a transition from being a voice on the radio, to becoming a face on TV producing and presenting popular shows on M

Genevieve Nnaji and Lion heart; All the Rave

Hi There, In a few months, year 2018 will be a wrap. Are you grateful, excited, ecstatic or numb? Always remember that a new day presents another opportunity to try again, to be bigger, better, to reach for the skies. Alright, let's talk about Genevieve Nnaji. I happened to be one of those who thought that she was overrated in recent times. I haven't seen her act in new movies, apart from Half of a Yellow Sun in 2014 and Road to Yesterday in 2015. While I was sure that she was involved in some gigs behind the scenes, I couldn't really see her work on the screen and hence, my scepticism. Lion heart is Genevieve's debut movie, co produced by Chinny Onwugbenu.  I was taken by surprise when I saw the Lion Heart trailer. Have you seen it? What do you think? This movie has been acquired by Netflix and was premiered at TIFF 2018 ( Toronto International Film Festival).  The other day, I watched Genevieve and Chinny say that it took three years to make this

LALA & CHEF FREGZ - PART 2

Hi Folks, I hope your week's been great so far!! When I wrote about this beautiful couple on Sunday, I had no idea they'd be tying the knot today! Well, it's a Thursday for one and secondly, I thought they might want to do a destination wedding. They however didn't feel the need to travel outside the country for their wedding. Who says beautiful weddings don't happen in Lagos? This is not to diss those folks who travel outside the country for their weddings by the way. To each his own.  I love how these guys have been very private about their love story and union. Once again, you do not need to make noise to make news! I had second thoughts about posting this today as I already had contents that I was looking to post this week. However, I thought why start something and not finish it? Meanwhile, OC Ukeje was MIA at both weddings. Makes me wonder what went down? Or maybe he decided to greet Lala privately? Who knows? I also 'heard' someone say

Lala and Chef Fregz

It was a cloudy Sunday morning. With rain and high winds pounding the Carolinas, the weather seemed rather gloomy. Stretching, I opened my eyes and reached for my phone. Hands up if you reach for your phone first before even uttering a prayer of thanks to your creator for seeing another beautiful day. I am definitely guilty of this. My excuse is that keeping my brain and eyes busy will help me stay awake. Anyway, as I opened the Instagram app, I saw pictures that were basically flooding my timeline. Then I laughed as my heart leapt with excitement. Kemi (Lala) Akindoju and Gbubemi Fregene were announcing their engagement to the world. Kemi Akindoju popularly called Lala is a Nigerian actress. Four years ago, I had watched as she stood beside OC Ukeje as his 'best man'. I knew they were close and I felt a little bad he was marrying someone else. But hey, you love who you love. Gbubemi Fregene, popularly called Chef Fregz, was someone I knew from afar while we were
