Emma Cole stared at the spreadsheet in front of her. Most of the figures didn’t make much sense to her this morning. At 29 years, she was a chartered accountant who had earned her MBA in Accounting from the prestigious Lagos Business School. She loved her work as senior auditor at Bartels and Gallagher LLC. Life had been very rough growing up as the first child among four children. Her father had walked away while she was in primary school. Eight years old to be precise. Her mother had done the best she could to raise her and her siblings. If they ate two full meals in a day, they danced and sang their praises to God at night. Going to school had been tough and many times they were sent home for not paying their school fees. At first, she would weep from shame when she got home after having being sent home. The Power of loving and forgiving

So you were stabbed hard in the back and your heart is still bleeding. He walked out on you when you needed him the most. Your friend(s) deserted you. You were abandoned by your parents at an early age. The list goes on. Your mother told you it was a mistake to have given birth to you. You were fired from your job unjustly and now all you want to do is get back at the lady or man who landed you in trouble. Life can be unfair. Things happen. The enemy of our soul gives us all good reasons to hate people. Sometimes, we are filled with a burning rage to get back at all those who have hurt us. I have been there before. We have all been there. I’m sorry you had to go through whatever it was that rocked your world. However, today I’ll say, FORGIVE. Can you do yourself that favor? Simply FORGIVE. What does the word forgive mean? It means to grant pardon for or remission of an offence, debt, etc. It means to cease to feel resentment against someone.Let go of all the bitterness, rage, grudge
